Here are the top stories in Columbia today:

  1. Lou Kennedy, a University of South Carolina donor and graduate, has resigned from the school's presidential search committee citing concerns the selection process will be a repeat of the last controversial search in 2019. The 2019 presidential search resulted in the hiring of retired West Point Superintendent Bob Caslen. This selection was criticized as highly politicized and both student and faculty leaders opposed the retired general and U.S. Military Academy superintendent. (WACH.com)
  2. The Columbia Police Department stated officers are looking for a man, Emanuel Griffin, who is wanted for a shooting that killed a man at a home on Kennedy Street. According to investigators, a second victim was also injured during this incident. Police say they have warrants for Griffin. (Abccolumbia.com)
  3. A Columbia filmmaker and actor, JB Brown, is currently showing his new project 'Forbidden Love'' at the Spotlight Cinemas in Columbia until Nov. 26. (ColaDaily.com)
