Victim Shot During Home Invasion

One person is in the hospital after a shooting and robbery at a home in the 7700 block of Broad River Road Sunday night, according to the Richland County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies responded to a shooting call at the home around 9:20 p.m. 

Deputies say two suspects forced their way into the home, demanded money, stole a specific item and fled the scene. 

The victim was shot once in the upper body and transported to Palmetto Richland Hospital. The victim's condition is unknown.
