Watch Animals in Action at Riverbanks Zoo

Zookeepers will interact with all types of animals for special presentations this Sunday.

Riverbanks Zoo will celebrate the Fall season with Enrichment Day this Sunday. 

Visitors can watch as bears, elephants and lions interact with unusual objects designed to stimulate their senses, such as puzzle feeders and edible papier-mâché creations. 

All of the presentations are free with regular admission to the zoo. The schedule is:

10:00 a.m. – Lions

10:30 a.m. – Galapagos tortoises

11:00 a.m. – Grizzly bears

11:30 a.m. – Gorillas

1:00 p.m. – Goats

1:30 p.m. – Alligator

3:00 p.m. – Elephants

3:30 p.m. – Birds in the Birdhouse at Riverbanks

 

Visitors will also have the chance to make necklaces out of pasta, create colorful fall cut-outs and visit with amazing education animals up-close. There will also be a silent auction with the chance to win a behind-the-scenes animal encounter.
