Where's the Cheapest Gas in Town?

Filling up the tank is becoming a little less painful for Columbia-area motorists.

Gas prices in the area have fallen more than 10 cents per gallon since Aug. 1, according to columbiagasprices.com. The average price for Columbia is $3.40 -- more than 20 cents below the national average. 

Prices may be dropping, but they're still about 15 cents higher than the average for Columbia at the beginning of July. 

The cheapest gas in the St. Andrews area is $3.37, according to Columbia Gas Prices. But if you're willing to drive a little farther to Seven Oaks, you'll find it for $3.35.
