Wilson to Appear at Labor Day Event After Mysterious Illness

Rep. Joe Wilson made his first appearance since his release from the hospital after a mysterious illness. 

The congressman posted a video on his blog saying that he's feeling better and is looking forward to his appearance at the Chapin Labor Day festival and the district bus tour that was .

Wilson was for an extended fever. After a four-day stay at Lexington Medical Center, he was .  

"Due to a viral infection that I received about three weeks ago, I've been going through tests," Wilson said. "All the tests have come back negative." 

Doctors are not sure how Wilson was infected, according to a release from his office. 

"Many thanks to everyone for your kind thoughts throughout the past couple weeks," Wilson wrote on his blog.
