("ZPI") of Mount Pleasant, SC, has purchased from Columbia, SC based Edens, two retail shopping centers called Lexington Towne Centre I and Lexington Towne Centre II, both located in Lexington, SC. The properties were purchased in a joint venture with another South Carolina owner/operator for an undisclosed amount. Built in 1985, Lexington Town Centre I was redeveloped in 2000, while Lexington Towne Centre II was built in 2003. Combined the retail centers total +/- 131,809 square feet. Leading retailers Stein Mart, Food Lion, Books-A-Million, Hibbett Sports, and Tuesday Morning anchor the property and are joined by other well-known specialty tenants such as Urban Nirvana, Moe’s Southwest, and Jimmy John’s. Julian Wilson of Newmark Grubb Wilson Kibler represented the seller, and ZPI was represented by Steve Collins of Blanchard & Calhoun Commercial. The properties are 100% occupied and located at Lexington’s premiere intersection of N. Lake Drive and Sunset Boulevard.
Within the past 24 months Ziff Properties has purchased more than $50 million dollars in commercial real estate totaling over 900,000 square feet.
