• Police seek tips after murder suspect found dead in Dillon Co. field (wpde.com) — Law enforcement is asking Dillon County residents for tips after 21-year-old Lorenzo Emanuel Jones, a Marion County man and suspect in a separate homicide, was found shot to death near Sugarhill Road in the Floyd Dale community. Deputies shared multiple phone, email, and Crime Stoppers contacts so locals can report information anonymously and help move the investigation forward.

Drawhorn Named SC Teaching Fellow Program Prepares South Carolina's Future Teacher Leaders (dillonnews.org) — A Dillon High School senior, Antwan Drawhorn, has been selected for the prestigious South Carolina Teaching Fellows program, earning up to $24,000 in scholarships toward becoming a teacher. He’ll attend the University of South Carolina in Columbia this fall, joining a statewide cohort focused on leadership, service, and preparing future educators for South Carolina classrooms.
