• Folly Beach considers ban on drone fishing over safety concerns (live5news.com) — Folly Beach officials are weighing a new ban on drone-assisted fishing that would apply along the city’s beaches and piers, citing safety risks for swimmers and surfers and threats to sea turtles and shorebirds. City Council will hold a first reading of the ordinance Tuesday at 7 p.m., with leaders aiming to keep the rules broad enough to cover future fishing technologies.
