2. SC: Rock Hill cuts bus service. Will Fort Mill-Charlotte CATS route be next to go? (masstransitmag.com) — Fort Mill is being asked to help fund the only commuter bus route linking York County to uptown Charlotte, after Rock Hill pulled its support and CATS announced plans to end the 82X line July 1. Riders from Fort Mill, Tega Cay and surrounding areas say losing the route would strand some workers and worsen traffic, and regional officials stress that new local partners could still keep the service running.
3. A Brutal Day in 1780 Still Echoes 246 Years Later (tegacaysun.com) — For Fort Mill and Tega Cay residents, a major Revolutionary War battlefield lies just a short drive away in eastern Lancaster County, where more than a hundred Continental soldiers died in 1780.
