β’ Roads to close for this road project that has been years in the making. What to know (myrtlebeachonline.com) β Garden City drivers should prepare for lane closures starting Sept. 8 as Horry County launches phase one of the long-planned Garden City Streetscape project along Waccamaw Drive and Atlantic Avenue. Work will upgrade drainage to ease frequent flooding, move utility lines underground, add sidewalks, improve lighting, and expand parking, with construction stretching through multiple phases toward a 2029 completion.
