• Now open: Ramsey Grove State Park in Georgetown County (whosonthemove.com) — Ramsey Grove State Park, just outside Georgetown, is now open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., giving locals access to 2,650 acres of trails, forests, and riverfront views. Residents should note multiple October and November hunting closure dates and are urged to check the state parks website before heading out so they don't arrive to locked gates.

• Body found in water after vehicle drove off road near marina in Murrells Inlet (myrtlebeachonline.com) — Emergency crews in Georgetown County are working at Wachesaw Landing near Murrells Inlet after a vehicle left Wachesaw Road and went into the Waccamaw River early Monday, where a man was found dead. Wachesaw Road is closed while divers attempt to recover the car, and Wacca Wache Marina and Outriggers Bar and Grill are temporarily shut because of the response.
