Friday Football: Gators Take On The Wave

Stratford and Cane Bay also playing at home this week.

There was only one team in the 2011 season that kept Goose Creek under 20 points. Heck, there was only one team that kept Goose Creek under 30 points.

It was Summerville's Wave and they're travelling to Gator country on Friday night to challenge Goose Creek's run for an undefeated season on the way to a second state title.

Summerville is 1-1 after a surprise loss in the season opener against Cane Bay.

On Friday, the Cobras host Berkeley, a team that has struggled in its first two weeks. Cane Bay has proved to be a stronger team in its first year of 4A play than many observers expected.

Stratford is 2-0 heading into a challenge from Fort Dorchester. In two games, the Knights have allowed just one touchdown. The Patriots are a different animal. Also undefeated, Fort Dorchester is going to look to light up the board like it has done in the last two weeks.
