The Hanahan fire chief credited working alarms and sprinklers, and reminded residents about the city’s free smoke detector program and the importance of calling 911 whenever they see smoke. 
2. Hanahan High Reopens After Bomb Threat Sweep (berkeleyobserver.com) — Hanahan High School was evacuated Tuesday after a bomb threat was called in to Hanahan police, prompting a full law‑enforcement sweep of the campus. By mid‑afternoon officers declared the building safe, students and staff returned, and the district adjusted schedules so everyone could still receive lunch.
