Last Chance: Register to Vote for the General Election

The voter registration deadline is this Saturday.

The general election is only 33 days away and the deadline to register is even closer. 

Citizens have until this Saturday, Oct. 6, to register. 

There are several ways to complete this task including registering online.

The S.C. Election Commission announced on Tuesday that it launched a paperless online voter registration system. 

You can also do one of the following:

  • Fill out a voter registration form in person at your county board of elections and voter registration: Richland County-2020 Hampton Street, Columbia or Lexington County-605 West Main Street, Suite 105 in Lexington.
  • Download a voter registration form from the S.C. Election Commission website and fax it to the county board: Richland- 803-576-1510, Lexington-803-785-8390.

Both Lexington and Richland voter registration offices will be open Saturday.

In Lexington, the office is open from 8 to 11 a.m. In Richland, the office is open from 9 a.m. to noon.
