Register Now for Riverbank Zoo's Summer Camps

Parents who enroll their children, ages 3 to 12, in the zoo's summer camps before Friday, March 15 will receive a 15 percent discount off registration.

Riverbanks Zoo & Garden announced its summer camp offerings beginning June 10. 

Early enrollment can help parents save 15 percent off on registration.

Young imaginations will run wild as Summer Zoo Camp at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden heats up Monday, June 10 – August 16.

Children ages 3 to 12 will once again have an opportunity to explore two different topics during two weeks of nature-related activities.

Campers will learn about wildlife and wild places through hands-on activities, up-close  animal encounters, educational games, behind-the-scenes tours, crafts, songs, Zoo walks and more.

Plus, parents who enroll their children before Friday, March 15 will receive a 15 percent discount off registration. Additional discounts also apply the week of July 4.

Summer Camps include:

  • Sprout Camp: Budding naturalists, ages 3 to 4 with an adult, will discover how flora and fauna are perfectly suited for each other as little sprouts take part in garden adventures through interactive activities and educational games. Camp hours: 9:3 0am to 11:30 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • KinderCamp: Tiny explorers, ages 4 to 5, will learn how different animals adapt to changes in season and have the opportunity to discover how certain species are “sense-able” when it comes to their surroundings. Camp hours: 9 am to 12 pm daily.
  • Zooper Heroes: Adventure “sea-kers” ages 6 to 7, will dive into the water cycle of life bringing to the surface a wave of knowledge about ocean-dwellers plus learn how those born to be wild spend the their first hours, days and years of life. 
  • Riverbanks Rangers: Curious campers, ages 8 to 9, will seek to uncover the secrets to hiding in the wild; Kids will also be given the chance to test their building skills with the help of some amazing animal architects.
  • Z.S.I Investigators: Inquiring minds, ages 10 to 12, will examine the art of critter chatter and learn what all the buzz is about when it comes to creature communication. Campers can also job shadow some of the hardest workers on the planet—animals—and see what it takes for these workaholics to succeed.

Wild Weeks Camps are held from 9 am to 3 pm daily.

Drop off begins at 8:30am for all camps.

Standard registration fees are as follows: Sprout Camp - $84 members / $114 general public; KinderCamp - $120 members / $190 general public. Wild Weeks - $185 members / $255 general public. Morning and late extended stay options are available but vary according to age group.

A few slots also remain for kids ages 7 to 9 in Spring Break Camp, April 1 – 5. Registration is $185 for Zoo members and $255 for the general public. Note: The early enrollment discount does not apply to Spring Break Camp.
