• Black Food Truck Festival returns to Ladson with national recognition (live5news.com) — Ladson’s Exchange Park will host the fifth annual Black Food Truck Festival April 24–26, bringing nationally recognized food, music, and culture right to your backyard. Recently ranked the No. 6 cultural festival in the U.S., the event features dozens of food trucks, local vendors, family activities, and performances from DJ Payme, Renaissance Orchestra, Buddy Red, and more. 
• Man arrested in connection with brush fire in North Charleston: NCPD (counton2.com) — A Ladson man has been charged after authorities linked him to a brush fire in North Charleston near Weber Boulevard and Blue House Road, close to I-26 and nearby apartments. The 1.5-acre blaze, which occurred during a statewide burn ban, was fully contained and caused no structural damage, but officials say it started at a campsite where he was allegedly trespassing.
