• Lexington 1 board gives superintendent high marks (lexingtonchronicle.com) — Lexington County School District One's board has rated Superintendent Keith Price "very effective" for the 2025–26 school year, extending his contract through June 2030 and approving a 2% raise aligned with other employees. Board leaders say his steady leadership is helping guide Lexington students to learn, grow, and excel, signaling continued stability at the top of the district.
• Lexington County man accused of calling 911, firing shotgun at deputy charged with attempted murder (wltx.com) — A Lexington County man is charged with attempted murder after state investigators say he lured deputies to his home with repeated 911 calls, then fired a shotgun at a master deputy. Deputies returned fire, injuring the suspect, and prosecutors from the 11th Circuit Solicitor's Office are pursuing multiple charges related to weapons and a prior conviction.
• Lexington-Richland Five breaks ground on new Administrative Center (abccolumbia.com) — Lexington-Richland School District Five has broken ground in Lexington on a long-awaited Administrative and Professional Development Center that will finally replace aging Dutch Fork Road offices dating back to the 1970s.
