• Lexington 1 board gives superintendent high marks (lexingtonchronicle.com) — Lexington County School District One's board has rated Superintendent Keith Price "very effective" for the 2025–26 school year, extending his contract through June 2030 and approving a 2% raise aligned with other employees. Board leaders say his steady leadership is helping guide Lexington students to learn, grow, and excel, signaling continued stability at the top of the district.
   

• Lexington County man accused of calling 911, firing shotgun at deputy charged with attempted murder (wltx.com) — A Lexington County man is charged with attempted murder after state investigators say he lured deputies to his home with repeated 911 calls, then fired a shotgun at a master deputy. Deputies returned fire, injuring the suspect, and prosecutors from the 11th Circuit Solicitor's Office are pursuing multiple charges related to weapons and a prior conviction.
   

• Lexington-Richland Five breaks ground on new Administrative Center (abccolumbia.com) — Lexington-Richland School District Five has broken ground in Lexington on a long-awaited Administrative and Professional Development Center that will finally replace aging Dutch Fork Road offices dating back to the 1970s. Funded by the 2024 bond referendum, the new complex will consolidate scattered staff and, leaders say, better support teachers and students as the fast-growing district expands.
