• Pickup truck passenger dies in Loris area crash (wbtw.com) — A pickup passenger has died after a single-vehicle rollover crash on Spring Branch Road near Loris, according to state troopers. The driver was not hurt, and this was one of two deadly Horry County wrecks on Mother’s Day. Investigators are still working to determine exactly what led to the crash. 
• 2 men accused of break-ins lead deputies on multi-state chase (wect.com) — A man from Loris is among two suspects accused of a multi-county crime spree that ended in a crash and arrests in Horry County. Deputies say the pair fled a traffic stop tied to break-in investigations, crashed in South Carolina, and were found with a stolen truck, drugs, and a discarded firearm. Both remain jailed awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
