• Murrells Inlet man dies in US 501 crash. He's the 4th motorcyclist to die in a week (myrtlebeachonline.com) — Loris residents Richard and Linda Lewis, both seriously injured in a motorcycle collision at S.C. 410 and Highway 19 in Loris, later died at the hospital, marking part of a deadly week for bikers during the Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Rally. Another Murrells Inlet motorcyclist died in a separate U.S. 501 crash, and state troopers are still investigating.
