_ List three common internalizing behaviors related to child abuse
_ Describe signs and symptoms of Apparent Life Threatening Events (ALTE) as they relate to child abuse
_ Coordinate with Child Abuse Pediatrician, DSS and LE when conducting an ALTE evaluation.
_ Describe strategies to use to leverage family religious beliefs to assist in healing in families who have experienced trauma.
_ Ask sufficiently appropriate questions to correctly state mechanism of injury and likelihood the injury is from abuse
_ Know when and when not to test for specific STI’s in sexually abused children.
_ Engage both clients and the system in the Protection Clarification process
_ Recognize symptoms of secondary traumatic stress in yourself and your colleagues and take steps to moderate and manage those reactions so that they will be able to continue protecting children
