1. Theatre 99 comedy improv troupe finds a new stage off the peninsula (scbiz.com) — Mount Pleasant residents will soon have a new regular comedy option as Theatre 99 moves its long-running improv shows to The Venue MTP on Johnnie Dodds Boulevard, relaunching Oct. 21 with Wednesday–Saturday performances. Supported by the town as an arts hub, the venue offers theater space, sound, and free parking, helping keep ticket prices around $20 while expanding classes and performances off the peninsula.
   

2. Flock camera cut down in Mount Pleasant makes it the second downed in less than a month (abcnews4.com) — Police say a Flock Safety camera outside the Lowe's near Mount Pleasant Towne Centre was found cut down Saturday, just weeks after a similar camera on Highway 41 was destroyed. The latest vandalism caused about $800 in damage and comes amid wider debate over automated license plate readers and surveillance, though no suspects have been identified in either Mount Pleasant incident.
   

3. Weekend vandalism at Charleston County middle school causes thousands in damage (live5news.com) — Moultrie Middle School in Mount Pleasant is facing more than $13,000 in repairs after late-Sunday vandalism damaged windows, landscaping, and fixtures, plus another $500 in damage to town property at the adjacent Farmers Market. Mount Pleasant Police are reviewing surveillance that shows a suspect on campus around 11:50 p.m., but no arrests have been made yet.
   

4. Lawsuit: Woman diagnosed with terminal cancer after Roper St. Francis doctor missed scan results (live5news.com) — A Charleston County couple is suing Roper St. Francis after a lung nodule found in a 2022 scan, later rechecked at Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital, allegedly went unreported until it had progressed to terminal Stage IV cancer. The lawsuit claims years of missed follow-up and misdiagnosed symptoms cost the patient a chance at earlier, potentially life-extending treatment.
