• Mullins mayor, attorney speak out after legal demand letter (wpde.com) — Mullins Mayor Miko Pickett is challenging a February council vote that stripped some of her ceremonial duties, arguing the meeting violated South Carolina’s open-meetings and FOIA laws. Her attorney has sent a demand letter giving the city until May 16 to rescind the vote, while city leaders also heard an update on a possible state investigation into Mullins’ finances.
