• Cigarette butts plaguing Grand Strand waterway. What's being done to fix it? (heraldonline.com) — Murrells Inlet leaders are launching an “inlet‑friendly” business certification this fall to cut cigarette butts and single‑use plastics that are littering the MarshWalk and local marshes. Backed by a NOAA grant and local partners, the Our Marsh Counts project uses years of litter data to push restaurants and shops toward sustainable packaging, on‑site cigarette receptacles, and other voluntary changes residents say they’re ready to support.

What your neighbors are talking about on social media
- I'm not their customer normally but they saw me ( an old man) trying to cut the dead fronds off my large plant so they came over and did that for me at no charge plus took the fronds and seed pods to recycling.
They offered to cut my grass for free but I had my regular guys coming the next day. SUPER GUYS! (Nextdoor The Enclave) - I need a great place for a nice seafood dinner with old friend visiting from out of town.
