Myrtle Beach restaurant worker dies in fiery multi-vehicle crash on Highway 17 Bypass (myrtlebeachonline.com) — A Myrtle Beach restaurant worker has died after a fiery three-car crash Sunday on Highway 17 Bypass near Pine Island Road, drawing responses from city fire and police crews. The victim, who had recently moved to Myrtle Beach with his family to work at Atmosphera Bistro, is being remembered as the restaurant community rallies support for his loved ones.
   

2. Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam returns Halloween Weekend, expecting 30,000 attendees (wpde.com) — Myrtle Beach is gearing up for thousands of visitors as more than 5,000 Jeeps and about 30,000 attendees are expected for Myrtle Beach Jeep Jam, Oct. 30–Nov. 1 at the Old Myrtle Square Mall site. Locals can watch Jeeps tackle the Proving Grounds, enjoy vendors, food trucks, and Halloween activities, with spectator admission just $10 and kids under 12 free.
   

3. FIRST ALERT: King Tides bring street flooding risk across the Grand Strand this week (wmbfnews.com) — King Tides are expected to push water onto low-lying streets from Cherry Grove through Myrtle Beach to Pawleys Island, with the highest impacts Tuesday and Wednesday. North Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue and other officials urge residents in flood-prone spots to secure outdoor items, avoid driving through flooded roads, and treat inundated streets like no-wake zones.
   

4. 2201 S Ocean Blvd Unit 1601/2, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 (redfin.com) — A planned unit development is proposed for 2201 S Ocean Blvd, offering more flexible zoning and unified design than traditional lot-by-lot rules in Myrtle Beach. The approach would allow mixed uses, smaller lots, and shared open space while aiming to preserve neighborhood character and expand recreational options for nearby residents.
