Man allegedly assaulted 13-year-old at House of Blues, police report says (myrtlebeachonline.com) — North Myrtle Beach police arrested a 38-year-old Darlington man at the House of Blues after a mother reported that her 13-year-old son was assaulted there. Officers, already on scene, noted the man appeared intoxicated and charged him with public intoxication and second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. Authorities say the man admitted to inappropriate contact.

NMB special meeting advances mitigation plan, oceanfront paid parking (wpde.com) — North Myrtle Beach City Council just advanced its 2027 budget, tax levy, and an $18 million bond plan, along with creating an oceanfront paid parking lot. Council also approved the Horry County all-hazards mitigation plan and several reimbursement resolutions tied to future city projects and equipment. 3. 21-year-old charged in North Myrtle Beach hit-and-run, police say (wbtw.com) — North Myrtle Beach police say a 21-year-old driver is charged after an early-morning crash that injured a motorcyclist and sparked a chase topping 100 mph along Highway 17. Officers later linked the car to the hit-and-run using debris from the scene, and the suspect was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center before being released on bond.
