• Horry County Drought Now Extreme: What It Means for You MyrtleBeachSC News (myrtlebeachsc.com) — Pawleys Island residents just saw how extreme drought can strain their taps, after a July 1 demand spike briefly cut water pressure for Georgetown County Water & Sewer customers on the Waccamaw Neck. While Horry County faces mandatory billing changes and Loris enforces strict cutbacks, Pawleys customers are urged to follow voluntary watering schedules and conserve now as plant upgrades continue into October.
