Because the county buys water from Rock Hill, a 6% water rate hike and 10% sewer increase, plus small millage bumps, could nudge local tax and utility bills up starting July 1.

Hoppin’ Rock Hill reports a 130% jump in costs, while another York County brewery has already closed, as lawmakers debate whether to temporarily suspend the million-dollar coverage requirement starting July 2026.
