• Rock Hill may soon have the area's highest growth fees. What it means for residents (heraldonline.com) — Rock Hill leaders are weighing a sharp increase in impact fees that would more than double what builders pay for new homes and businesses, potentially the highest in York County. City officials say the change would fund water, sewer, fire, and new police facilities without raising taxes on current residents, while still keeping Rock Hill’s home prices relatively lower than nearby communities.
   

• Rock Hill has this parking deck under construction, another coming & big plans between (heraldonline.com) — Downtown Rock Hill is getting a second major parking deck at White Street and Dave Lyle Boulevard, with construction expected to start next summer and finish in under a year. Together with a deck already rising at the former Herald site, it will eventually support an $8 million pedestrian bridge linking two sides of downtown and be funded largely through tax districts and credits.
   

• Coroner Identifies Rock Hill Motorcyclist Who Died Following High-Speed Crash (fortmillsun.com) — Authorities have identified the motorcyclist killed in a high-speed crash near the Rock Hill Aquatics Center as 31-year-old Kyle Paul Fauls of Rock Hill. Investigators say a York County deputy had just attempted a traffic stop for reckless driving on Rawlinson Road when the rider accelerated to about 120 mph, lost control while passing another vehicle, and died at the scene as Highway Patrol continues its investigation.
