Dozens of people were taken to hospitals, but officials say no deaths have been reported as investigators continue looking into how dense fog contributed to the shutdown near the Orangeburg-Clarendon county line. 
• Santee man charged with assault, drug possession in North Charleston (live5news.com) — A 24-year-old man from Santee faces assault and marijuana distribution charges after North Charleston police say a parking lot dispute on Rivers Avenue turned physical early Friday. Officers found the victim with minor injuries and discovered more than 100 grams of suspected marijuana and a digital scale in the Santee man’s backpack before booking him into the county detention center.
