• Special session ends as lawmakers postpone mandated changes to Georgia's election system (gpb.org) — A state senator from Sylvania backed a bill that delays Georgia’s move away from QR code ballot counting until 2028 and sets stricter rules for when hand recounts are required in close top-ticket races. Lawmakers also created a commission to study future voting systems, while proposals on local sales tax referendums and redrawing legislative maps were postponed until at least 2027.
