The 50-acre project will add roughly 20 shovel‑ready lots with streets and utilities, aiming to attract new businesses, create higher‑paying jobs, and boost long‑term economic growth in Aberdeen.
   

2. Brown County Commission hear update from Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers (hubcityradio.com) — Brown County officials in Aberdeen are weighing which rural road to use as the main detour once work begins on the Richmond Dam, with 127th Street currently favored despite some concerns. Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers also updated commissioners on water management, noting gates were briefly opened but will likely be closed again as runoff is routed through the county.
   

3. Aberdeen Chamber hosts candidate forum for primary election (aberdeennews.com) — Aberdeen voters can hear directly from legislative and Brown County sheriff candidates at a public forum on May 2 at the K.O.
