• Jim Prouty overwhelmingly re-elected sheriff of Union County (siouxfallslive.com) — Union County voters have re-elected several key officials, including two from Beresford: Commissioner Peggy Ustad and Register of Deeds Laurie Buum, who both won comfortably. Sheriff Jim Prouty also secured another four-year term with 80% of the vote, while other county offices were either decided or went uncontested, leaving no county races for the November general election.
