• South Dakota begins to issue drought warnings, orders (keloland.com) — State officials have begun issuing drought-related warnings and shutoff orders, and Split Rock Creek through the Brandon area is on the low-flow watch list. Junior water-rights holders elsewhere already face shutoffs, and the governor has activated the state drought task force. Expect monthly reviews as dry conditions persist across much of South Dakota.
