• Edward Swyers, 66 (thedakotascout.com) — Canton residents are mourning the passing of 66-year-old Edward Hugh Swyers, a skilled mechanic and outdoors enthusiast who made his home in Canton after years in Iowa and Minnesota. Family and friends will honor him June 13 in Waterloo, Iowa, where attendees are encouraged to wear something featuring an eagle in tribute to his love of bald eagles.
