• South Dakota begins to issue drought warnings, orders (keloland.com) — State officials are warning water users along Split Rock Creek, which runs through Garretson and Palisades State Park, about low stream flows as drought deepens across South Dakota. While only junior water-rights holders on other rivers have received shutoff orders so far, the state drought task force is now activated and will meet monthly as two-thirds of the state faces dry to extreme drought conditions.
