• South Shore's sales tax rate doubling on July 1st (gowatertown.net) — Starting July 1, South Shore’s general sales and use tax will jump from 1% to 2%, directly affecting what you pay on most local purchases. The state Department of Revenue will release updated municipal tax bulletins that explain the new rate and list all city and tribal tax rates statewide, available online or by phone at no cost.
