• Toyota Series – Arkansas River – Day 2 weigh-in (6/12/2026) (majorleaguefishing.com) — Bass anglers will be converging on Lake Dardanelle in Russellville June 18-20 for the Toyota Series tournament, with daily 6 a.m. launches and 2 p.m. weigh-ins at Lake Dardanelle State Park. Hosted by the Russellville Tourism & Visitors Center, the three-day event offers big cash and boat prizes and is expected to draw many of the region’s top pros and co-anglers.

• Paddlers warned about hazards in Big Piney Creek (kait8.com) — Paddlers around Russellville are being urged to use extra caution on Big Piney Creek’s Long Pool to Twin Bridges stretch due to hazardous currents and overhanging vegetation. The U.S. Forest Service warns that changing river conditions are creating dangerous strainers and entrapment risks, and reminds everyone that water levels and hazards can shift quickly.
