Hampton Elected President of Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority (coloradoboulevard.net) — Glendale residents will see new leadership at the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority just months before Hollywood Burbank Airport opens its $1 billion Elevate BUR terminal on October 5, 2026. Pasadena Councilmember Tyron Hampton now leads the tri-city commission alongside Glendale and Burbank appointees, guiding a sustainability-focused project expected to shape regional air travel convenience and access.
   

2. ‘Blue Bloods,' ‘Once Upon a Time' TV Director Ralph W. Hemecker Dies at 65 (rocketnews.com) — A longtime television director, writer, and producer has died at his home in Glendale at age 65, and his family will announce service details later. Ralph William Hemecker was best known for extensive work on “Blue Bloods” and “Once Upon a Time,” and colleagues are remembering his kindness, artistry, and leadership across decades of TV production.
   

3. Basketball Camp Helps Out Eaton Fire Victims (outlooknewspapers.com) — A teen who lost his Altadena home in the Eaton Fire and is now living in Glendale helped launch a free “Healing Hoops” basketball camp for affected kids. Along with two classmates, he organized coaching, wellness activities, and even family photo sessions to offer emotional support and new memories to children still processing the disaster’s impact.

Judge Defies Metro on Initial BRT Battle (outlooknewspapers.com) — A judge has denied Metro’s request to force Burbank to immediately issue permits for the North Hollywood–Pasadena Bus Rapid Transit line, which will also run through Glendale.
