• Students participate in Walkout (thepirateer.com) — Students from Englewood High School walked out Friday, marching from the Englewood campus along Logan to Broadway and Hampden as part of a statewide protest criticizing ICE’s treatment of immigrants. District leaders and Englewood police escorted the group to keep students safe, and participants were allowed to return to class afterward without incident.
