1 Arrested In South Nashville Carjacking, 2 More Sought

A stolen car in South Nashville was located by pinging the victim's cell phone.

NASHVILLE, TN — One suspect was arrested and two more are on the lam after police located a vehicle stolen in a South Nashville carjacking.

Police were called to a carjacking at Massman Drive and Goodbar Drive and were able to locate the stolen car by pinging the victim's cell phone which had been left inside the car.

The car was soon located at Glastonbury Road and Goodbar Drive, less than a quarter mile away. An officer turned on his lights and one person, 20-year-old Johnvontae Jackson, ran and was arrested after a brief chase.
