7-Year-Old Shot In Face On Interstate 24
Random drive-by shooting on I-24 critically injures a child.

NASHVILLE, TN — A 7-year-old girl is in stable condition at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after being shot in the face during an apparently random drive-by shooting on Interstate 24 Saturday night.
Metro Police say a passenger in the white four-door Ford sedan opened fire on two other cars in the westbound lanes of I-24 near Hickory Hollow Parkway around 10:45 p.m.
A passenger in the car with the little girl reported hearing "booming" noises as they drove. A bullet hit a second vehicle on the driver's side, but no one in that car — a couple and their 8-month-old baby — was hurt.
