85-Year-Old Woman Followed Home, Robbed

A pair of thieves followed an elderly woman home and robbed her in Glencliff, similar to an incident in Wilson County last week.

NASHVILLE, TN — Thieves followed an elderly woman from her shopping trip at Kroger to her home, robbing her in her driveway, a nearly identical modus operandi to a robbery in Mt. Juliet reported last week.

The 85-year-old victim was shopping at the Kroger at Thompson Lane and Briley Parkway Thursday night. She was followed home two people in a white sedan and when she arrived at her Glencliff home, one of the pair jumped out, ran across the yard and stole her purse in the driveway.

Last week, an elderly couple shopping at the Hermitage Kroger was followed to their Mt. Juliet home, where a person jumped out of a white sedan and robbed them in their driveway.

A friend of the Glencliff victim said that the victim said the car that followed her was identical to the one captured by security footage in Hermitage.

No one has been arrested and the Wilson County Sheriff's Office is investigating connections in the cases.
