'Alexa, Where's My Nintendo Switch?' It Might Be Spilled On I-40 After Semi Crash

A semi carrying Amazon packages rolled over Friday, shutting down Interstate 40 for hours.

NASHVILLE, TN — A semi-truck carrying Amazon packages rolled over and lost its load early Friday morning in south Nashville.

At the Interstate 40/Interstate 24 merge near Spence Lane, a tractor-trailer negotiating the curve began to tilt before finally succumbing to the wiles of gravity and rolling with a section of the trailer itself hanging off the bridge and over I-40.

Crews were able to clean enough of the debris — hundreds of Amazon deliveries — to re-open a portion of I-24 in time for the morning rush but had to close I-40 again later in the morning to clean up more of the spilled boxes and right the truck.
