Antioch Double Murder Suspect Caught In Kentucky

The 20-year-old man suspected in a September 24 double murder in Antioch was arrested Monday in Hopkinsville.

HOPKINSVILLE, KY — A 20-year-old man wanted in a September 24 double murder at an Antioch apartment complex was arrested Monday in Hopkinsville, Ky.

Luis Colindres-Verala is charged with two counts of criminal homicide in the shooting deaths of Yeri Gabino, 18, and Hector Pagada, 34, who were shot to death as they sat in a black Lincoln MKS sedan just before 6:30 a.m. on September 24 in the parking lot of the Maple Crest Apartments on Natchez Court near Nolensville Pike.

Detectives believe Colindres-Varela was riding in a white Chevrolet Traverse that pulled up to the Lincoln. Gunmen emerged from the Traverse and opened fire on the victims. The shooters then jumped back into the Traverse and fled.

The suspected driver of the Traverse, Oscar Delgado-Flores, 23, of Smyrna, was arrested September 28 and is charged with two counts of murder.
