Antioch Man Shoots Wife, Himself: Police

ANTIOCH, TN — An Antioch man shot his wife before turning the gun on himself Wednesday, Metro Police said.

Family members discovered the couple shot inside their home on Post Oak Drive Wednesday morning and called 911. Investigators say the man shot his wife in the chest and then shot himself in the abdomen. Both were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition, but both were conscious and breathing.

The wife's injuries are not life-threatening and is expected to be released. The husband's condition is unknown.

Neither person was immediately identified.
