Antioch Road Rage Incident Leads To Drive-By Shooting

A woman pulling into an Antioch apartment complex was shot in the leg and buttocks.

ANTIOCH, TN — Metro Police believe a "road rage incident" led to a woman being shot outside of an Antioch apartment complex early Friday morning.

A woman and her friend were pulling into Cane Ridge Road's Bell Hollow Apartment when they saw they were being followed by a grey sedan. Shots then rang out from the sedan and the driver was hit in the leg and buttocks. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with serious injuries, according to police.

Police said early indications are that the woman and the person in the gray sedan were involved in some kind of road rage encounter just prior to the 3 a.m. shooting.
