Antioch Shooting Injures Woman, Teen
A shooter "popped out" of the shadows and fired into a car, hitting a woman and a teenager in Antioch late Sunday.

ANTIOCH, TN — A shooter who was lurking in the shadows fired a gun at a car in Antioch Sunday night, injuring a woman and a teenage boy sitting inside.
The two victims were in a car with a man and a toddler on Pepperwood Drive when they saw someone with a gun on a bridge around 11:45 p.m. Sunday. (For more updates on this story and free news alerts for your neighborhood, sign up for your local Middle Tennessee Patch morning newsletter.)
The victims said the shooter "popped" out of the shadows before firing several shots into the car. The victims called 911 from a Murfreesboro Pike gas station.

The woman was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the teen to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Injuries to both are not considered life-threatening. The man and the toddler were not injured.
