Antioch Shooting Suspect Arrested

The man wanted in a double shooting outside an Antioch pool hall earlier this month was arrested.

ANTIOCH, TN — Metro Police arrested the man wanted in a May 1 double shooting outside an Antioch pool hall Monday.

Brian Arellano, 21, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest.

Investigators say Arellano shot Juan Carlos Melendez, 22, and Franklin Pinera-Caceres, 16, outside of Las Nenas bar and billiard room in the early morning hours of May 1. Witnesses say the victims — both had non-life-threatening injuries — and Arellano were arguing inside the club before the shooting in the parking lot.
