Antioch Woman Accused of Streaming Animal Cruelty Live on Facebook
Metro Police arrested a woman who allegedly swung a puppy by its neck and threw it to the ground on Facebook Live.

ANTIOCH, TN — A woman accused of streaming animal cruelty on Facebook Live has been arrested. Metro Police charged Latorya Brooks with animal cruelty, saying she swung a puppy by its neck and threw it to the ground inside her apartment in Antioch, all while streaming the abuse via Facebook's live video function.
The video is no longer posted on the social-media site, but it was saved and turned over to Metro Animal Care and Control by another woman.
Investigators say Brooks admitted to the abuse and posting the video. The puppy is recovering after being treated by a veterenarian.
