Bar-B-Cutie Owner Shot in Chin During Daylight Robbery

The co-owner of the popular barbecue joint is in stable condition after a brazen parking-lot stick-up.

NASHVILLE, TN β€” The co-owner of a popular south Nashville barbecue restaurant is in the hospital after she was shot during a brazen daylight robbery Sunday.

Police say Annie McFarland, 52, was waiting in her car outside of the Bar-B-Cutie on Nolensville Road with the daily deposits when a man approached the driver's-side window, pulled out a gun and shot into the car, striking McFarland on the chin.

The shooter and an accomplice reportedly fled to a nearby apartment complex.

McFarland was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She is in stable condition.
